Drop off your bulky household waste at no cost!

Do you have bulky household items you need to throw away? Bring your household waste to the Costa Mesa Senior Center on Saturday, September 9 from 8-11 a.m. Please be sure to come early as our last event quickly reached capacity. 

Caltrans staff will be on-site to collect items that are too bulky for residential garbage bins, such as mattresses, furniture and toys. E-waste will be accepted for disposal.

You can dispose of all those items at no charge. All Orange County residents are welcome.

The following items will NOT be accepted at this event:

  • Hazardous materials (batteries, paints, oils, chemicals, pesticides, smoke detectors, fluorescent lights, etc.)
  • Concrete, dirt, rocks, brick, asphalt, or sand
  • Treated wood
  • Tires
