I hope you can join me, Orange County Coastkeeper and Costa Mesa residents for a River Channel Cleanup on Love Costa Mesa Day!

On this day, volunteers will participate in projects across Costa Mesa serving the homeless community, beautifying our local parks, schools and neighborhoods, and so much more. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. at Costa Mesa City Hall. Learn more about Love Costa Mesa Day and view other volunteer opportunities.

Together, we can work to prevent hundreds of pounds of plastic and trash from ending up in our beautiful coastal waters. Over the years, hundreds of volunteers have participated in our cleanups helping remove nearly 7,000 pounds of debris from the waterway and along the coast.

The Santa Ana-Delhi Channel drains into the Newport Back Bay, which is why it is vital to remove any trash or harmful materials before they end up in our waterways. Let's all take time to do our part in doing the most to protect our coast!

Free parking is available at the Travelodge by Wyndham Orange County/Costa Mesa (1400 Bristol St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626) or in the residential areas along Santa Ana Ave.
