Last week, I had the privilege of joining the Be Well OC team for a beam signing ceremony at their new campus in Irvine. I am proud to have secured $16.5 million in state budget funding to support Be Well’s critical work in our community.

The last few weeks in Sacramento have been particularly busy, with more than a dozen committee hearings taking place weekly. This week, I finished presenting all of my bills to Assembly policy committees, as we approach the deadline for legislation to pass the Assembly on May 24.

This week, I joined the California Foundation on the Environment and the Economy for a Legislative Study Tour in the United Kingdom. The focus of our tour was on issues related to Energy and Insurance, two topics that are high on my priority list as your representative. Important note - taxpayer dollars were NOT used to fund this trip. I want to share some of the highlights from our trip, as part of this week’s newsletter.

Today is Election Day – the last day to vote in the 2024 Primary Election.
There are more choices and more options than ever for Orange County voters. You can vote by mail, return your ballot at a ballot drop box or vote in person at any Orange County vote center. Visit the Orange County Registrar of Voters website to find a vote center or ballot drop box near you.
