You Still Have Time To Make It Count - Census 2020
Dear Neighbor:
The 2020 Census count is ending in a few days, have you participated? Our District has a response rate of just over 70%, and we need a fair count to draw down Federal funding for education, health care, transportation and more.
It only takes ten minutes! If you haven’t filled out the Census yet, now is the time to make it count:
- To complete the census online, go to my2020census.gov
- To respond by phone, call 844-330-2020
- To complete the census by mail, fill out the paper questionnaire you received earlier this year
I recently teamed up with Peri Gilpin in a PSA about the importance of the census, and I hope you’ll share our video to keep the momentum going:
For more details about the importance of the census and what you can do to help, check out my Town Hall discussion with Darlene Moreno of the NALEO Educational Fund, and Nancy Olivarez with The Children's Partnership:
Once you’ve completed the census, please share these links with friends and family - and remind them of the importance of being counted. Federal dollars account for more than one-third of all state spending - more than $100 billion in 2018. The only way to secure our fair share of funding is to get counted.
Thank you for helping us get counted, our community depends on it!
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office, if we can be of assistance.
