Thanksgiving

The Thanksgiving season is an opportunity to reflect upon the many things in our lives we are grateful for and express that gratitude.
I was honored to join Fresh Beginnings Ministries for their Thanksgiving Food Drive to ensure that local families can celebrate the holiday with a bountiful meal. They were able to distribute 1100 boxes of food to 29 organizations throughout Orange County for a total of 33,000 meals. It is so nice when our community comes together in the spirit of giving. Reflecting on where we were a year ago, I am incredibly thankful that the COVID-19 vaccine is widely available - enabling us to get our kids back in the classroom, reopen our economy so our small business can thrive and safely celebrate the holidays with friends and family. Between the long lines of Black Friday and the minute-to-sell-out sales of Cyber Monday, I encourage you to support our local entrepreneurs and shop small this weekend for Small Business Saturday! This day is dedicated to small businesses and their employees who are the heart and soul of our community and the backbone of our economy. In honor of Small Business Saturday, our local Small Business Development Center is launching a brand new ecommerce site where small businesses can expand their business online. Join for the launch at 11am on Saturday!
Finally, on November 30th, we’ll unite for a worldwide celebration of generosity. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.
