Nominate a Girl To Attend Our Young Women’s Empowerment Conference!

Dear Neighbor:

On March 14, 2020, my office will host the inaugural Young Women’s Empowerment Conference. You are invited you to nominate a girl to register

This conference is designed to provide a space for young women, grades 7 thru 12, to experience leadership building and interact with peers and successful women of different ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. We will focus on higher education, transition to college, careers, self-esteem, community engagement and personal growth.

We will kick-off at Orange Coast College (8:30 am), with a college and civic engagement fair.  ‘Criminal Minds’ actress Kirsten Vangness will deliver keynote remarks, followed by panels focusing on empowerment, career paths and personal health.

I believe this is a wonderful way to recognize Women’s History Month, and hope you’ll help us make this a memorable event by sharing the registration link.

(Please note: the waiver release form must be printed out, as a parental signature is required We are happy to coordinate pick-up).
