Celebrate Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, I would invite you to join your neighbors by participating in numerous volunteer activities and events to clean up our coastlines and waterways, restore habitat, dispose of household and e-waste, and plant the seeds for our future.

Climate change is real, now and urgent. We are seeing the catastrophic effects of the climate crisis play out in real-time across the state of California. We must get serious about safeguarding California by developing strategies to adapt to climate change and mitigate the impacts to protect our coast.

That’s why I have passed legislation to restore our California coast, invest in green infrastructure, mitigate sea level rise, and provide our first responders with innovative strategies to fight wildfires in Orange County and across the state. I will continue to champion for achievable strategies that address our state’s most pressing environmental issues.

Let’s commit ourselves to being responsible stewards of the environment and improving the quality of life in our communities. Please consider volunteering or attending an Earth Month event in your community!
