Laguna Beach- French Buckets has been honored by Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris as the Local Business Spotlight for May. It is a woman-owned, family operated florist shop in the heart of Laguna Beach, where locals always stop by to purchase some beautiful arrangements, and artisan goods.
As drivers in Southern California continue to pay near $6 per gallon of gas, state Democrats continue to debate the best way to get relief to as many people as possible.
"The fights in California are fights between Democrats," said Loyola Law Professor Jessica Levinson. "We're seeing now the fault lines between the governor and the legislature."
According to Triple AAA, a gallon of regular gas in Los Angeles County costs an average of $5.85 a gallon compared to just over $4 a gallon a year ago.
On Thursday, April 21, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris along with Girls Inc. co-hosted an event where six women were recognized for their distinguished service and leadership within our communities. Among them was Dr. Ginger Osborne, Laguna Beach.
The event was held at Marina Park Community and Sailing Center Event Room in Newport Beach. In addition to Petrie-Norris, Laguna Beach Mayor Sue Kempf was in attendance.
