COSTA MESA — Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris honored Blackmarket Bakery in Costa Mesa for the restaurant spotlight for this month. This business started with one woman selling her baked goods at farmers markets. The brand continued to grow until it became a chain of woman owned and operated bakeries, in Orange and San Diego counties.
“It was a pleasure to meet Rachel and to recognize this amazing woman owned business,” said Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris. “What makes Blackmarket Bakery unique is its home-made feel and taste. It is great to see a small business have such a huge presence in the community.”
“I was pleased to meet the Assemblywoman and have a great discussion about the business climate, and the work being done to help small business” Owner Rachel Klemek said.
