Irvine Household Waste and Shredding Event

Do you have bulky household items you need to throw away or important documents to shred? Bring your household waste and documents to the Jeffrey Park and Ride in Irvine on Saturday, March 23 from 8-11 a.m.

Caltrans staff will be on-site to shred up to four boxes of your documents securely, as well as collect household items that are too bulky for residential garbage bins, such as mattresses, furniture and toys. Goodwill will also take lightly used items as donations and help dispose of e-waste.

You can dispose all those items and shred important documents at no charge. All Orange County residents are welcome.

The following items will NOT be accepted at this event:

• Hazardous materials (batteries, paints, oils, chemicals, pesticides, smoke detectors, fluorescent lights, etc.)
• Concrete, dirt, rocks, brick, asphalt, or sand
• Treated wood
• Tires
• Hanging file folders, accordion folders, 3-ring binders, CDs, or x-rays
