Neighborhoods all across America are preparing for National Night Out. Tuesday evening lock your doors, turn on your outside lights and spend the evening with your neighbors and local law enforcement officers.

National Night Out promotes neighborhood camaraderie and police-community relationships by providing a variety of events to spend time with your community. Take the opportunity to bond with your neighbors and local law enforcement at neighborhood block parties, festivals, parades and cookouts.

National Night Out (NNO) is a time for neighbors to get together and "Give Crime a Going Away Party! The Costa Mesa Police Department encourages neighborhoods across Costa Mesa to organize your own National Night Out gathering. Gather your neighbors; organize a BBQ, Potluck, Ice Cream Social or a simple Meet & Greet. It is not always easy to find the time to get to know or spend time with neighbors but it is a fact that neighbors looking out for each other is a powerful tool against crime.

Huntington Beach Police Department is hosting the event at Central Park to be in a centralized location for everyone in the city. Each of HBPD’s Area Commanders will be available for the community to talk to them about issues or concerns in your own neighborhoods. There will be a variety of vendors and static displays for you to enjoy from our SWAT team to our Mounted Unit to our K9's and more!.

The Irvine Police Department joins the annual tradition celebrated across the country at the 3 locations across Irvine. Join in for a chance to interact with neighbors and police personnel, as well as explore police vehicles and learn important crime prevention tips.

Laguna Beach National Night Out

Laguna Beach Police Department is teaming up to face the Laguna Beach Fire Department in the National Night Out 1st Annual Guns ‘n’ Hoses Softball Game. K-9 Demo, Flag Presentation, National Anthem & first pitch will open the night with the game beginning at 6:30pm. Enjoy the game with a FREE hotdog, chips & a drink.

Newport Beach Police Department will be providing information on crime and drug prevention, home security, child safety, the Citizens’ Police Academy, and Volunteers In Policing.  NBPD will have displays from CSI, SWAT, our K-9 OfficersAnimal ControlHorse Mounted UnitC.E.R.T. and more. Don’t forget your camera and your appetite, photo opportunities and food are available along with games, crafts and face painting for the kids and a visit from McGruff “The Crime Fighting Dog”.  Parents can also pick up FREE Child ID Safety Kits.
