Nominate a Small Business of the Year!

Dear Neighbor,

California’s 4.2 million small businesses are critical to the state’s economy. Overall, 96 percent of businesses in Orange County employ less than 50 workers. These small businesses employ nearly 44 percent of the county’s total workforce.

This year, the California Legislature will celebrate small businesses during the month of May. I am excited to honor a small business that has made a lasting local impact. As we take the time to reflect on the importance of small businesses, I invite you to submit a nomination for Small Business of the Year in the 73rd Assembly District.

NOMINATE A SMALL BUSINESS

It is essential to support local small businesses. In recent years, I have secured $85 million in small business grants to support 7,154 entrepreneurs in my district. I also passed legislation to require 25 percent of all state contract dollars be spent on small businesses. I remain focused on creating jobs, reducing red tape, and ensuring small businesses have access to capital and the resources needed to become successful.

Please nominate an outstanding small business located in Costa Mesa, Irvine or Tustin by filling out a brief nomination form. We will accept nominations through Friday, April 26.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or are in need of assistance with state-related issues.

Yours faithfully,
Cottie Petrie-Norris Signature

California State Assemblywoman
