Hunger Action Month

Dear Neighbor,

Please join me and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County for Hunger Action Month volunteer events at the Second Harvest Distribution Center and Harvest Solutions Farm in Irvine!

Join us this September for Hunger Action Month to help distribute and harvest seasonal produce so that our neighbors have consistent access to nutritious food, creating a foundation for community health and well-being. You can choose from two volunteer events on different dates. There is limited space at the Distribution Center Volunteer Event on Sept. 19.

Friday, September 19
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

(Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last.) 

*RSVP is required. This opportunity is available to volunteers 13 years old and above, with an adult chaperone 21+. Volunteers aged 16 to 17 do not need a chaperone. Volunteers aged 13-17 years old, please have your parent or legal guardian register online.

Saturday, September 20
8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

(Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last.)

* RSVP is required. Children age 7 and up are welcome to volunteer under the supervision of an adult 21 years or older. All volunteers age 17 or younger must have a parent/guardian complete the form, even if the parent/guardian is not the adult chaperone at the event.
