Today we recognize and reflect on the service and dedication of the men and women who have sacrificed for our country.

Each year, I highlight local veterans to thank them for all that they've done to keep us safe here at home. I'm always reminded that freedom isn't free and that we have much more in common than we do at odds. The ties that bind us together are so much stronger than the forces that seek to tear us apart.

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for recognition. We owe a profound debt of gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the Armed Forces, and I am committed to making sure our veterans receive the state and federal resources they have earned.
