Free Tax Preparation Help this Friday
Below are two programs fhtat may be of benefit to you
Hop on the e-Bus in Costa Mesa for free tax return preparation
Tax Day is April 15th and I’ve partnered with the Orange County United Way to provide resources to help you file your state and federal income taxes. If you make under $60,000/year or are over 62, you qualify to receive free tax return preparation.
The CalEITC/VITA e-Bus will be in Costa Mesa from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 1st providing free tax return preparation. The e-Bus will be parked at the Costa Mesa Senior Center at 695 W 19th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. For an appointment, call 888-434-8248.
The e-Bus, equipped with computer workstations, will be staffed with IRS-certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) preparers, who will complete simple returns and check to see if you qualify for refunds and cash-back state and/or federal Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC).
Through the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and the companion federal EITC, families can boost their refund by hundreds or even thousands of dollars. To check if you qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit please visit https://caleitc4me.org/earn-it/
