Welcome to "Catching Up With Cottie" - a weekly update about what I am working on as your representative in the California State Assembly.
I wish you and your families, friends, and loved ones a joyful and peaceful holiday season. As the year comes to a close, I hope you have the chance to reflect on the moments that brought happiness and growth while cherishing time with those who matter most. May this season bring warmth, love, and new memories to carry into the year ahead. From my family to yours, Happy Holidays and have a wonderful New Year!
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I am committed to addressing the issues that are important to you. As always, if there is anything that my team or I can do to assist you with a local or state issue, if you have questions or concerns about what I am working on, or anything in between, please contact my office. My team and I are here to help!
Yours faithfully,
Cottie Petrie-Norris
California State Assemblywoman
I was proud to support Supervisor Katrina Foley's Annual New Coats for Kids Drive—a wonderful initiative to help keep children across the 5th District warm and cozy this holiday season!
Each holiday season, I gather with my incredible team from the Capitol and the District to celebrate, reflect on the year, and express my gratitude. This talented and compassionate group works tirelessly to create meaningful change in our community, and I'm inspired by their dedication every day.
As we look back on all we've accomplished in 2024, I'm reminded of the power of teamwork and shared purpose. I'm excited for the opportunities ahead and can't wait to continue our important work together in 2025!
COMMUNITY RECOGNITION
Team Cottie proudly congratulates Krista Weigand, Leah Ersoylu, and Carol Crane on their reelections to the Newport-Mesa Unified School District! A special shout-out to Carol Crane, the outgoing President of NMUSD, for her outstanding service and unwavering dedication to improving education.
